SOV coder

Turn messy rows into OED codes

Paste a schedule of values. Each building gets an occupancy code and a construction code, each with a confidence score.

0 rows

Up to 250 rows at a time, each up to 1,000 characters. About 25 rows a minute.

How the coding works

  1. Fixed code lists

For each code, Jev picks one answer from a fixed list of OED codes. It does not write free text.

  2. A confidence gate

Craton keeps a code only if it is a valid OED code and its confidence is above the gate.

  3. You review the rest

Rows below the gate are listed for you to pick a code or leave it blank. Craton never fills them in on its own.

What happens to your rows

When you press Code these rows, your browser sends the text to the Craton API, ten rows at a time. A table with a header line is sent row by row as column: value pairs, with money columns left out. Craton asks Jev, TypeSafe’s decision model, the same fixed questions about each row, through Vercel’s AI Gateway, and sends back codes and confidences. The model sees the text of each row and nothing about you.

Craton does not store the rows or the answers. The codes, your picks and the CSV stay in this browser until you download them. The only thing this page keeps is a free sandbox key, so it does not sign up again on every visit.

Codes follow the Open Exposure Data standard, version 5.0.0. Treat a code marked below the gate as a suggestion, and check it before you use it. In the CSV, a code you pick is marked Chosen by you, and its confidence is the model’s probability for the code you picked.
